This contemporary master piece, was crafted around 2010 at a cost of tens of thousands to a poverty stricken mining community. Although nearly 100 ft tall. There is genuine craftsmanship to the statue. The base made from welsh slate. The lettering is enscribed with the kind of attention, you paid in school.Yet for all this time, incredible atrention to detail and money. What pleb decided not to paint it. Probably lining some councilors pocket or sweedish account somewhere.Any how come see it. Its jolly nice. The vale is quite pretty. Alrhough tescos has shaffted the town. Bought a rival store. Then shut it. Kept prices low. Until local shops and garages shut. Now the crafty masochistic narcisiric brains in charge. Have given highest fuel prices in immediate areaCommercial pub is dead good though. Does nice meals. Although the owner will tell you stories of his biggest collection of football shirts. Great live bands. Such as pipe dream. On sarurdays and sundays.

Fantatic, but wish directions where better.a tribute to the brave men and boys we newer wet home

Beautiful part of the South Wales valleys, where the landscaped paths and gardens allow you to stroll through a variety of walks at your own pace. The haunting monument of the Guardian, gives a stark reminder of the harsh reality of the world it once was and the sacrifice those brave men, who faced danger and uncertainty every day to support their families.

Just did the elf walk with the ty ebbw fach it was lovely great guides giving us lots of information along the way, even had a lovely hot drink at the cafe after the walk, enjoyed every minute of it and met some lovely people

Always a lovely walk around the guardian. Although you will now need to take a longer route upto the Guardian which is posted in the carpark, it still has disability access just a bit more of a walk around.
